Our section camp was held from Thursday 4th to Tuesday the 9th. 4 days of riding each ride approximately 90 miles. A variety of bikes some dating to the 1920's and people coming from as far as Northumberland. I think everyone had a good time, thanks Trevor for the organisation, roll on next year. 17+ of us Rushmere to Diss cross country. Excellent ride nice fish and chips. Then back on A140 and A14, most of the A140 is loose chipings not fun. I think I did about 90 miles by the time I rolled into the garage.
Ten members rode to Southwold via Sizewell using the back roads to deliver the VMCC 70th anniversary baton to the Norfolk section. We managed to dodge the showers and had a really good run plus some nice fish and chip at Southwold harbour. Then back via Framlingham I think we did nearly 100 miles by the time I got home.
Happy Birthday to us. The section was 50 years old this weekend and a run was held to Offton Limeburners. The run of about 50 miles was enjoyed by 15 members in lovely weather, see picture of them leaving. They enjoyed a pint and the Limeburners and then fish and chips which was paid for by the section.
